A practical Green Hospitality Network workshop for visitor economy businesses

From Action to Story: Tell your sustainability story with confidence

Sustainability is increasingly influencing visitor expectations, but knowing what to say about your activity, and how to say it with confidence, isn’t always straightforward. Join the Green Hospitality Network for a practical, interactive session designed to help visitor economy businesses communicate their sustainability activity clearly, credibly and with impact.

Green Economy will start with a refresher on sustainability terminology, cutting through some of the language and jargon and helping you understand the terms that matter to your business.

VisitEngland’s Senior Regenerative Tourism Lead will then share the latest data and insights into changing visitor expectations, exploring what these trends mean for tourism and hospitality businesses.

Marketing Manchester will lead a hands-on storytelling workshop, introducing a simple structure to help you turn the sustainability work you are already doing into engaging, authentic content for your website, social media and wider business communications. We will also explore the changing legislation and guidance around environmental claims, helping you understand where greater care is needed and how to communicate your activity with confidence.

This won’t just be theory. You’ll put the storytelling structure into practice during the session and leave with draft content for your own business, ready to refine and use.

Finally, Green Economy will bring the session back to practical action with a focus on energy saving, exploring opportunities to reduce energy use and costs as we head into the winter months, alongside the data, tools and support available to help you decide what to do next.
